| Over
a career that spans nearly three decades, portrait artist Laurie McGaw has
become noted for the sense of timelessness and warmth she brings to her work.
Her clients, both corporate and private collectors, are drawn by McGaw's
uncanny ability to incorporate the strength and personality of the sitter
along with her trademark guaranteed likeness. These portraits have been added
to many fine collections including that of Imperial Oil.
Many well-known figures have been the subjects
of her published portraiture, including Peter Gzowski (the Morningside
Papers books), Conrad Black, Barbara Amiel, Wayne Gretzky, Andrea Bocelli
(newspapers), Silken Laumann, Terry Fox (posters), and Oscar Peterson, Farley
Mowat (magazines).
